Wow, it’s already the end of August, and fall is almost here—even if it is still H-O-T, hot outside! My granny would always spell it out first and then say it, and honestly, this Texas heat deserves the extra emphasis.

We had our team meeting Saturday, and I am blessed to call these amazing ladies my friends, my team, my Sunshine family, and my coworkers. And all of you are lucky enough to come take their classes!

Mallory, Kayla, Jessica, Shante’, Carrie, Brandi, Jordan, Melissa, Madison, Julie, Katelyn, Kimberly, Shawn, Aline, Lena, Brittany—and Micki, who joined us on Zoom.

Every day, I receive compliments, messages, and emails about the welcoming atmosphere at the studio and the wonderful classes this team brings to life. That does not happen by accident. These women bring their knowledge, energy, creativity, and genuine love for our students into every class they teach.

They truly put the SHINE in Sunshine!

Yoga may begin on the mat, but it was never meant to stay there.

It shows up in the way we care for one another. It helps us build stronger bodies, calmer minds, healthier families, and more connected communities. That is why you will find Sunshine Yoga Shack not only inside our beautiful downtown studio, but also in hospitals, community spaces, city events, and celebrations throughout Mansfield.

CHAIR YOGA WITH METHODIST MANSFIELD

Yoga really is for everybody—and every body.

Our Chair Yoga classes with Methodist Mansfield make movement, breathwork, balance, and community more accessible to people who may not feel comfortable getting up and down from the floor. A chair does not make yoga “less than.” It simply gives us another way to practice.

Classes are offered every Thursday through November, helping more members of our community stay active, confident, and connected.

PRENATAL YOGA WITH METHODIST MANSFIELD

Pregnancy brings enormous changes to the body, mind, and heart. Our Prenatal Yoga program offers expecting mothers a safe, supportive space to move, breathe, prepare for birth, and connect with other women walking through the same season of life.

These classes are available to Methodist Mansfield patients, are held at Sunshine, and are another beautiful example of yoga reaching people exactly where they are. These classes begin on September 16th, and Carrie will lead them.

MOTHER BABY EXPO

Methodist Mansfield is bringing local moms, families, health experts, and community resources together for its FREE Mother Baby Expo!

The day will include a Mom Lounge, children’s play area, local shopping vendors, food trucks, door prizes, and educational tables led by experienced nurses.

Families can learn about safe sleep, infant bathing, lactation, pregnancy and blood pressure, car-seat safety, and more.

Whether you are expecting, recently welcomed a baby, or are raising little ones, this is a wonderful opportunity to find information, encouragement, and connections that can help make motherhood a little simpler—and healthier.

Healthy Living Mansfield is going to be one incredible day for our community—and it is completely FREE!

The morning begins with a Fun Run at 8:00 AM, followed by community yoga at 9:00 AM. Then, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, Geyer Commons will be filled with more than 50 local health and wellness vendors.

You will be able to meet healthcare professionals, fitness experts, wellness providers, community organizations, and local businesses that are all working to help Mansfield live healthier and feel better.

Come for the run. Stay for yoga. Explore the expo. Bring the family. You do not have to be a runner or a yogi—you just have to show up!
