Back to Basics, Back to Better

School has officially started, and life is settling back into a routine. This season naturally brings us back to basics—and honestly, that may be exactly what we need. Lasting change rarely begins with one enormous leap; it begins with one small success. In yoga, it all begins with the breath. Pranayama, the practice of intentionally working with the breath, is one of the simplest yet most powerful parts of yoga. These small successes remind us that we are capable and create the motivation for bigger changes. This season, let’s get back to basics. Back to the breath. Back to ourselves.

Bones, Longevity, and Yoga…

bones longevity

Why did you start yoga? Was it to feel good, look good, or simply carve out an hour for yourself? As I practiced over the years, my reasons evolved. Today, I seek strength, mobility, and health for the years ahead. Our bones are living tissue, continually remodeling, and yoga can play a vital role in this process. But can it truly build bone density? The research tells two stories. Join me as we explore the fascinating relationship between yoga, longevity, and the many ways our practice can support our bodies as we age. What do you want from your yoga practice?

Upward Lifting… a little talk about Bandhas

You know that feeling after a yoga class? No matter the style—vinyasa, yin, or gentle movement—you walk out feeling lighter, your breath fuller, and your thoughts more focused. This transformation is more than physical; it’s the magic of yoga. At its core, yoga teaches us about prana, the vital life-force energy within us. Discover the subtle practice of bandhas, which help gather and direct our energy, allowing us to rise and feel more connected. Join us on this journey of grounding and lifting, and experience the profound effects of yoga in your life.
