Peace on Earth and Happy Holidays from all of us at Sunshine Yoga Shack. No matter how you celebrate the holidays, you are sure to spend time with family and friends. Everyone is a little kinder and full of holiday cheer this time of year.
Yoga is a practice of peace. Finding peace within ourselves and helping spread peace around us. In Sanskrit, peace is Shanti. Often you will hear Om Shanti chanted three times. ‘Om Shanti, Shanti, Shan-ti.’ It is said to be for peace of body, mind, and spirit. I have read that we chant once for ourselves, once for the people closest to us, and once for the world. A beautiful thought any time of year.
This week will fly by, and the New Year is upon us. Don’t wait until January to begin finding your best self. Sunshine will have some schedule changes in the coming weeks. We also have many training options and events coming soon.
We have space for our 200-hour Yoga Teacher training which begins on January 15th. Sunshine School of Yoga has several virtual training options available now as well. Our 200-hour program is live with 100% virtual sessions. Our Aerial Teacher Training is available to take all online now, 25-hour CECs for the Yoga Alliance. Stephanie Darnell will teach a virtual class, adaptive yoga for the wheelchair. Stephanie, the creator of Neuro Flow Yoga, has been teaching yoga for 10 years. You can register for her class online.
