Everything around us is made of energy and has a vibration. But we don’t always notice it. That energy, when manifested, can affect everything around us. The ground beneath our feet, the wind in the trees, and our bodies. We have the ability to feel and harness that energy to improve our lives. How do you raise your vibration and understand this powerful force surrounding us?

In honor of these vibrations, we have made some changes to our class formats. We have added more sound healing to every class we teach. I finished my Sound Healing certification this week and felt we needed more of this healing modality in our studio. Read more about these changes in Studio News below.

Have you ever walked into a room and just known something was off? Maybe the energy in the room was low, negative, or anxious. But have you ever been in a room with high and positive energy? You can sense the difference, but explaining how or why is hard. That’s because everything around us has its own vibration. When you walk into a room, you can feel the energy lingering there, or you can vitalize it. It’s up to you to decide how to interact with the energy around you.

Learning to feel your energy can help you raise your vibration. Pay attention to how your body feels when you’re in different environments. Notice if you feel drained or uplifted. Do you feel relaxed or tense? The more aware you are of how your body reacts to energy, the better you can harness it.

Yoga is an ancient practice of moving energy. You may not realize what’s happening when you take a yoga class, but you are moving the energy in you and around you. The different postures and movements help to stretch and move energy through your body. Some postures focus on grounding the energy, while others help to open up and release blockages. If you’re new to yoga, consider trying various classes to see which resonates with your energy.

Our breathwork is another way we move energy. Your breath controls the energy flow in your body. When you’re angry or upset, your breath becomes shallow and quick. When you’re calm and relaxed, your breath becomes slow and deep. The more mindful you are of your breath, the more you can adjust it to move the energy in your body. Try taking deep, intentional breaths throughout the day to notice how it changes your overall energy.

Sound waves also move the energy in a room and our bodies. Sound healing can help you process and release old energies. Different tones and frequencies have different effects on our energy. Some sounds can be calming, while others can be energizing. You can experiment with different types of music to see how it affects your mood and energy. You can also try sound baths or sound healing sessions to help clear any stagnant energy.

Meditation and quieting the mind can help raise your vibration. When our surroundings constantly stimulate us, connecting with our inner selves can be challenging. Meditation allows us to slow down and become present. It allows us to connect with our energy and raise our vibration without external distractions. You can start with just a few minutes daily and work up to longer sessions. Don’t worry if you get distracted at first; it takes practice to quiet the mind.

Understanding energy vibrations can be a powerful tool to help improve your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. You can harness it and raise your vibration by learning to feel your energy. You can control your energy through yoga, breathwork, sound healing, meditation, or just being mindful of your surroundings. Doing so can create a positive and uplifting environment for yourself and those around you. So go forth and explore the energy around you, and see where it takes you.

Studio News.

The winner is the 30-Day Yoga Challenge. Terri, Shawn, and Danielle attended more yoga classes than anyone else. They will win an item from the Sunshine Swag Shop. Congratulations!

We have changed Yin and Yoga Nidra to Yin. Nidra, Sound. We have added a longer sound bath after the guided meditation. The feedback has been phenomenal, and we are excited for everyone to experience this class. We have changed the format of a few Aerial Yoga classes to Aerial Flow and Sound. There will be aerial yoga, aerial flow, and an extended savasana in the fabric with a sound bath. Our Just Yoga and Deep classes have also extended the sound bath portion of each class. Remember, your feedback is important; we want to hear your thoughts.

Breathe Into Sobriety

Sunday October 1st 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Join Jordan and Mallory for an afternoon of yoga, sound bath & share circle. This is an all-level class open to everyone. We will shine a light on what “sobriety” means to us and share our journey, tips, and tricks on how to navigate a world where alcohol is so prevalent. You do not have to abstain from alcohol to attend this class. Please come if you are looking for a sober community, want to show your support, or are curious to hear other people’s stories. Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided, and the last 30 minutes of class will be spent socializing and sharing.

Float and Fly with Lynn

Are you ready to take your yoga practice to the next level? This float-and-fly workshop teaches you how to practice arm balances and inversions for a truly uplifting experience!


Gain strength, balance, and control while learning to defy gravity and amplify your energy. Lynn will be your guide to ensure you can safely move in and out of these postures.

Haunt the Block

Sunshine & The Historic Mansfield Business Association is thrilled to announce a remarkable partnership with Toys for Tots, the delightful city of Mansfield, Mansfield Commission for the Arts, Visit Mansfield, and Mansfield ISD for the Annual Haunt the Block in Historic Downtown. This collaboration promises to elevate the event to new heights. We are excited to share that Channel 4 will be on-site, broadcasting the Toys for Tots launch.

The City of Mansfield will also host a captivating costume contest, while local downtown businesses will organize a separate costume competition. And let’s not forget about the abundance of candy that will be available! We invite you to bring your children to this extraordinary, secure, and thrilling event. It’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss!

Reiki Share

Want to know more about Reiki and how it can help you in becoming your best self? Or perhaps practice your healing abilities with others? Join us for a Reiki Share where all are welcome to participate in giving and/or receiving Reiki.

Reiki is a vital life force energy that flows through all living things and, when shared between them, can help reduce stress and anxiety, decrease fatigue while increasing energy, and facilitate the body’s natural ability to heal. Reiki can leave you feeling relaxed and calm with a clear and present mind.

Glow Aerial Yoga

Join Té for a fun-filled and uplifting Saturday night of flowin’ and glowin’ at Glow Aerial Yoga on October 21st! Wear your favorite glow-in-the-dark outfit or Halloween attire, and get ready for an hour of aerial yoga that will light up the sky! We ask that you do not wear zippers or jewelry in the fabric for your safety and to please bring socks. This class is for all levels.

Sunrise Sound Bath & Power Flow

Join Mallory for an energizing sunrise power flow and sound bath. If vinyasa style yoga is not your jam, this class is a perfect way to ease into a brief power practice ending with an invigorating 30-minute sound bath. Sound meditation is based on the idea that every part of your body creates a vibration which resonates in a certain way. Sound healing works by sending sound waves throughout the body helping restore balance at a cellular level. The benefits include deep relaxation, better sleep, increased brain wave frequency and decreased stress and anxiety.  Feel free to bring blankets, pillows, essential oils, or anything else to make your practice more comfortable. All levels welcome!

Yoga for Mental Health

Experiencing anxiety, lack of motivation, or brain fog? Looking for a safe space to talk about mental health?  This class will begin with tuning into your body via gentle yoga poses and breathing exercises, followed by recognizing and releasing stored emotions in areas of the body.  This practice will give you another tool to release emotions both in the studio and on your own!  We will finish with a share circle to deepen our experience and connect with others so you no longer feel alone in your journey. Join Melissa,a Licensed Professional Counselor and registered Yoga Teacher for a relaxing yoga experience to release negative energy in the body and connect with others about mental health.

Thai Body Work

Are you looking to get out of your head and into your body? Join Lynn in this two-hour workshop as she guides you through the ancient art of Thai Body Work, which is designed to calm the mind and help release tension from the body.


Using mindful pressure points and gentle rocking motions, partners will be encouraged to let go of stress and reconnect with themselves and their partners.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring someone you feel comfortable touching. Each partner will have a turn as we move through a sequence of techniques to move the body in a relaxed environment.

Sunshine School of Yoga

Start your Transformation at the Sunshine School of Yoga. 

If you have a deep passion for yoga and a desire to inspire others, the Sunshine School of Yoga is the perfect place to set yourself on your path to becoming a yoga teacher. Our programs provide a solid foundation in the art and science of teaching yoga, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to guide others through this practice. 

200-Hour Training at Sunshine

We will meet one weekend a month, and training is Hybrid. We use the best of both worlds to bring you yoga training to fit your busy life schedule. Our training gives you the accountability to keep you on track and access to the Lead Trainer you need.

We are an RYS-200 Registered School with the Yoga Alliance, and when you complete all of the requirements, you can register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200.

300-Hour Training at Sunshine

Sunshine’s Hybrid 300-Hour Training begins in January, and we will meet one Saturday a month from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This training is for Yoga Teachers who have completed a 200-hour training program.

All other requirements will be met virtually. We are an RYS-300 Registered School with the Yoga Alliance, and when you complete all of the requirements, you will receive your RYT-300 certification.
